4 Things to Do Before Bringing Your Trade to the Dealership

With used-car values hovering at all-time highs and new inventory hard to come by, dealers are offering top-dollar for trade-ins! Check out our four simple steps below to maximize your vehicle’s value before heading to the dealership.

1. Clean Interior & Exterior of Your Vehicle

It might seem obvious, but making sure to clean both the exterior and interior of your vehicle can ensure you get the maximum value for your trade. Remove any personal items, vacuum the entire cabin, and a fresh coat of wax on the exterior will have it sparkling like new. Don’t want to do it yourself? Contact our detailing department! 

2.  Small Scratches or Issues? Fix them DIY-Style

Check lights, top fluid levels, and buff out any minor imperfections. Any major issues? Leave that to the dealership! 

3. Gather Those Important Documents

You’ll need to ensure you have the car’s title, service records, and registration handy. Remember, vehicles that have been regularly maintained, retain more of their value! This is a great time to grab any extra keys, accessories, or owner’s manuals too.

4. Determine Your Vehicle’s Estimated Value
