The engineers and designers at Honda have been running with increased momentum following the release of the new Civic, and the team at Heritage Honda Bel Air, Parkville & Westminster is loving what we see. Now, we’re awaiting the arrival of the Honda Civic Type R, expected this June.

So what sets this model apart? For starters, Honda is including a carbon-fiber-look body kit with a red accent line, extra vents, and a large rear spoiler. A new hood intake with air scoop and darkened LED lenses, along with the red Type R “H” badge prominently displayed on the grille, round out the aggressive look. 

Powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission, you can expect 306 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Alter your steering and throttle response when you choose between three driving modes: Comfort, Sport, and +R. 

The Type R will be available in the Touring trim and will include navigation, Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto™, and a 12-speaker sound system.
