What's New

For over 40 years, Honda has made the Civic the standard-bearer for the compact sedan segment of the automotive industry. With each new generation, the Civic has strengthened the reach of its cult following among car buyers, who love it because of its simple yet reliable design. For the 2021 model year, the Civic offers amazing styling, safety innovations including Honda Sensing® collision-prevention technology, and an intuitive infotainment system. All these moves help make the 2021 Civic the very best version yet.

The Perfect Ride for…

Drivers looking for a reliable vehicle that's built around efficient performance, an affordable price tag, and tons of critical acclaim. The 2021 Civic’s in-line four-cylinder engine may not sound like a lot, but the engine's lightweight construction means that power can be put to good use on the road, and its smart design means it saves the driver in fuel costs.

Drive & Handling

The base model Civic LX, EX, and EX-L  come with a 174 horsepower naturally-aspirated 4-cylinder engine, while the premium Sport and Sport Touring packages utilize a turbocharged upgrade that boosts performance to an impressive 180 horsepower. In the handling, you’ll feel the advantage of the Civic’s longer wheelbase and wider, more aggressive stance, especially with the standard MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspensions. All packages offer either a 6-speed manual transmission or automatic Continuously Variable Transmission, which is matched to each available engine type to optimize power without sacrificing fuel efficiency.

Perhaps the 2021 Civic Sedan’s ample 15.1 cubic feet of cargo space just isn’t enough for your needs. If so, the 2021 Civic Hatchback may be a better fit. It does everything the regular Civic does, only now with more room for passengers and gear. Cargo space has been increased to 25.7cubic feet, and even as much as 46.2 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded down.

Key Features

360-Degree Awareness

Honda engineers have strategically squeezed the latest in miniature camera technology into the Civic. The Multi-Angle Rearview Camera offers three different views—normal, top-down, and wide—for backing up safely and easily. Additional small cameras installed on the side-view mirrors make lane switching easier and safer, too. With Honda LaneWatch™, just flip on the turn signal and the dashboard display will show live video from the side-view mirror cameras, so you can see what’s in the lane beside you before you attempt to merge.

Truly Wireless Driving

You can easily enjoy content on your smartphone or tablet using the standard Bluetooth® or USB connection, or you can sync your device to stream more than 30 million songs available on Pandora®, Spotify®, Apple Music®, or any other streaming service. If talk radio is more your style, you can stream thousands of podcasts covering a variety of subjects from the latest political discourse to hot celebrity gossip. Plus, you can enjoy a completely tangle-free life by charging your compatible smartphone with the available wireless charging station.

Cutting-Edge Safety

In addition to an image you can see, the 2021 Civic offers the technology you can’t see constantly working hard to keep you and your passengers safe. The innovative Collision Mitigation Braking System™, for example, autonomously helps brake the vehicle when it senses a collision ahead, while the Road Departure Mitigation System uses cameras to identify road markers and take action to keep you from leaving the road. The Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow function can intuitively maintain following distance between vehicles ahead, and the Lane Keeping Assist System can detect if your Civic begins to stray from the center of a detected lane and take action to get you back on track.

Alternative Options

Drivers who want a more luxe experience should look at the Honda Accord. This lavish sedan offers sporty engine options and has gotten a facelift for the 2021 model year, giving it a fresh look. For drivers who need a crossover model, the Honda HR-V is spacious enough for the family but still offers great maneuverability.
